I believe that art is evidence of meaning, because without belief there is no reason to create.
My work is an attempt to find meaning in the seemingly absurd world around me.
I believe in history.
I accept the things that I read in books, the things that are documented, that have been analyzed and assessed.
These things are somehow real and rational to me.
The contemporary world that I live in lacks clear meaning.
The things that happen around me seem to be irrational.
My artwork attempts to reconcile this discrepancy.
My primary focus as an artist is the figurative object.
Traditional sculpture methods give me a connection to the past and make me feel that I am part of a lineage.
I embrace these elements, yet I also embrace the time that I live in.
